Privacy notice
This page explains what Peace of Christ Camp collects through this website, why we hold it, who sees it, how long it stays, and how to have it removed. It covers the website only. Paperwork you sign on paper at drop-off is described in the parent handbook.

The three things this site collects
A registration. When you register a camper we collect your name, email address and mobile number; the camper's name, age, chosen session and swimming ability; allergies, medical notes and medication; an emergency contact and their number; your photograph preference; and how you heard about camp. We collect it to run the session safely and to reach you during it. Health details are given to the camp nurse and to the counselor responsible for your child, and to nobody else.
A retreat enquiry. Your group or church name, an email address, and what you tell us about group size and dates. We use it to answer you.
An address on the dates list, if you ask for one. See below — it works by confirmation and nothing is stored until you confirm.
Each form also carries a hidden field that no person can see. Only automated submissions fill it in, and those are discarded. We record the network address a submission came from, so that one connection cannot flood the office, and we discard it after an hour.
Email we send you
Every form sends exactly one message back, to the address just typed into it, confirming that the request arrived and repeating the details so you can check them. A registration confirmation never repeats health details. There is no follow-up sequence and no marketing attached.
The dates list is different and deliberately slow. Asking for it sends one message and nothing else; your address is written down only if you click the link in that message. If you never click, nothing is kept. Once confirmed, you get an email when registration opens in January and a reminder in May — two a year, and every one of them carries a one-click link that removes you.
If a message to you bounces, or you report one as spam, we stop writing to that address.
We will never ask you for a password or for payment details by email.
Children
This website is written for parents and guardians, and the registration form asks you to confirm that you are one. We do not knowingly collect anything directly from a child through this site. Photographs of campers are governed by the choice you make on the registration form; a camper whose family declines photo consent is not photographed.
Who else sees it
The camp office, the nurse and the relevant counselor. Nothing is sold, rented, or given to anyone for their own use. The website runs on hosted infrastructure and email is sent through the mail service of that hosting provider. We are moving delivery to Amazon Simple Email Service, which will process messages on our instruction and for no other purpose. We disclose information beyond this only where the law requires it, or where a child's safety requires it.
How long we keep it
Registrations are kept for the season and then for seven years, because health and safeguarding records must be retained. Retreat enquiries that come to nothing are deleted after twelve months. An address on the dates list stays until you remove it. Rate-limit records last one hour.
Your choices
Write to contact@peaceofchristcam.org and we will tell you what we hold about you or your child, correct it, or delete it, other than the parts we are legally obliged to retain. Removing yourself from the dates list needs no email at all — use the link at the foot of any message.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or third-party tracking. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees the network address of the browser requesting them and nothing else.
